‘A current project to support the Jaffna Diocese is the collection of good quality used children's books.  The books are being sent to Jaffna College and Uduvil Girls College to assist teachers and students with learning and practicing the English language.  The books are for the two college libraries. Donations of books have been received from individuals, and school and municipal libraries that have redundant books in good condition after re-stocking.  The books are mostly story books, but we are also sending natural history, Australian history, atlases and so on. The books to date are mostly junior school level, but we hope to get some senior level books too.  We ship the books from Melbourne to Colombo in 30 kg. tea-chests.
